Management Changes at The Peoples Community Bank Announced

Harrop to Step Down as President at End of Year

At the April 12, 2016 annual meeting of The Peoples Community Bancshares, Inc., Gary Harrop announced that he will step down as bank president on December 31, 2016. Harrop will remain chief executive officer of the bank until December 31, 2018 and will continue management of the bank's trust department for the foreseeable future. He will be succeeded as president on January 1, 2017 by Brian Gorman.

Harrop began full-time employment with the bank on January 2, 1976 and has served as president since 1980. Subject to shareholder approval he will remain a member of the bank's board of directors until 2024.

Gorman, an Executive Vice President, has been with the bank since 2000 as a senior commercial and agricultural lender and began work in the banking industry in 1991. He holds a bachelor's degree in Management from Edgewood College, Madison and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Gorman and his family make their home in Spring Green.

Harrop commented, "Our board of directors has been planning this management transition for the past five plus years. Our focus has been to promote from within to maintain a customer oriented culture centered on making finance as simple and uncluttered as possible for the communities that we serve. Brian has been an important part of that process and I'm confident that he will continue to build on that philosophy as president of the bank."

The Peoples Community Bank, chartered in 1891, is headquartered in Mazomanie with offices in Arena, Barneveld, Plain, Richland Center and Spring Green and manages assets in excess of $575 million.
